SEASON 3 AUDITIONS

Interested in performing a solo next year at recital and competition?
Dancers must come prepared with their own piece of music on an iPod,
iPhone or CD with 6-8 counts of 8 of their own choreography in their genre of choice.
Judges will be looking for technical skills, confident stage presence and personality!
Soloists will be required to practice a half hour per week from September-April
and take one hour of Ballet and one hour of Technique per week.
Interested in taking your dancing to the next level and performing outside the studio?
*All dancers must re-audition and new dancers are welcome!*
Dancers will learn 4-8 counts of choreography during the first half hour of the audition
and perform what they learned in groups during the second half hour of the audition.
Judges will be looking for flexibility, memorization skills, technical skills, big smiles,
a passion for dance and dancers who get along/dance well with others.
*Age is taken into consideration when making a team, however a dancer may make a
different company than what they are auditioning for due to skill, maturity and ability level.*

10:00AM - MINI COMPANY (JAZZ AUDITION): AGES 5-6
11:00AM - STARLET & PETITE COMPANY (JAZZ AUDITION): AGES 7-9
12:00PM - JUNIOR COMPANY (JAZZ AUDITION): AGES 10-12
1:00PM - TEEN & SENIOR COMPANY (LYRICAL AUDITION): AGES 13-16
2:00PM-2:30PM - PETITE & TEEN TAP COMPANY: AGES 7-16
2:30PM-3:00PM - PETITE & TEEN HIP HOP COMPANY: AGES 7-16
The 2017-2018 Company Teams will be *new* small groups of 4-9 dancers.
The commitment will consist of 4 hours per week split into two days (3 hours for Mini's).
[1 hour of Ballet, 1 hour of Technique & Company class]
Elite teams may be formed for dancers interested in more Company classes and competition routines.
There will be two mandatory competitions in the spring of 2018.
Dancers who audition for a team may request a duo or trio on their audition form.
Duos and trios will be required to practice a half hour per week from September-April.
There will be no production routine requirements next year.
Students should arrive in a black leotard and black
dance shorts with hair in a bun and some makeup.
